Why people use it

◎One-click eye dropper

Press Alt+C, then Enter, click a pixel — done. Works outside the browser window too, with a built-in magnifier.

#Every format you need

HEX, RGB, HSL, HSB, the nearest Tailwind class and a ready CSS variable. The code is copied automatically.

▦History and palette

The last 24 colors are kept; pin up to 12 to a palette and export it as CSS variables, JSON or a plain list.

✓Reliable on any page

Uses the browser's native eyedropper, so it works on retina screens, zoomed pages, images, videos and browser pages where older pickers fail.

🔒Private by design

No account, no tracking, no permission to read websites. Colors are stored only in your Chrome profile.

☾Light and dark

A small, fast popup that follows your system theme. No clutter, no upsells.

Frequently asked questions

How do I pick a color from an image online?

Drop or paste the image into the tool above, move the mouse over it (the loupe shows exact pixels) and click. The HEX code is copied right away; RGB, HSL and HSB are one click away.

What is the difference between HEX, RGB, HSL and HSB?

They describe the same color in different notations. HEX and RGB are what CSS and most tools expect; HSL is handy for adjusting lightness in CSS; HSB (also called HSV) is the model used in Figma and Photoshop color panels.

Is the image uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens in your browser with the Canvas API. The page makes no network requests with your image.

How is the extension different from this page?

This page picks colors from an image you provide. The extension picks a color from anything visible on your screen — any website, video, app window — in one click, and keeps your history and palette.

Which browsers are supported?

The extension works in Google Chrome 95+ and other Chromium browsers (Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi). The online tool works in any modern browser; the “pick from screen” button appears where the browser supports the EyeDropper API.
